HORSE RIDING CAMP

Beginner Riding Camp
Our riding camp is for riders from the ages 7 to 13. Riders will be matched up with a horse for the week and will learn all responsibilities of care for that horse. Lessons include learning to approach a horse, lead, halter and unhalter, how to properly groom a horse, parts of the horse, and learning different equipment needed to ride a horse. Riding lessons will teach the rider to mount/dismount, walk, halt, and some trotting. There will be a maximum of 12 campers per week and a minimum or 6. There will be 3 instructors so there will be a lot of individual attention.

The time is from 10:00am till 2:00pm. The cost for camp is $220.00. We need to receive a deposit of $100.00 to hold a spot. You may either do this with a check or call us with a credit card number.

The rider will need to wear long pants and shoes with heels. If your child has her/his own bike helmet you are welcome to use it since it is already fitted, otherwise we will provide a helmet. Drinks and snacks are provided. Please pack a lunch.

The camp is intended to teach each rider responsibility of having a horse. This will be our 12th year of camp and every year has been a great time, we even have riders return year after year. It will be very educational and a lot of fun!

Intermediate/Advanced Riding Camp
This camp is intended for riders who have attended our beginner riding camp in the past or a rider who has some basic knowledge about riding.

Introduction to walk trot showing.

Monday through Friday from 10am till 2pm

Cost: $230.00

Riders must have some basic training.
We will be having a mini-show with this level.

2010 Dates:
July 12-16 with a mini show at Bittersweet on the 16th.

July 19-23 with a mini show at Bittersweet on the 23rd.
